Danuta Hübner - the guest of March's Polityka Salon mainly attracted to the meeting advocates of the European Union. Nevertheless the majority of questions asked expressed doubts and anxiety linked with Poland's accession to the EU.
Members of the debate asked Danuta Hübner especially about the informational campaign run by the government - this campaign was generally criticized by debaters. They asked also about the referendum - "What will happen if Poles say "no" as a result of the referendum?" They wanted to find out what will be the reaction of those responsible for integration if Poles will not take part in referendum - "Poles have an unusual chance to decide about the future of Poland for the next decades (…). If attendance of the EU referendum does not exceed the required 50% it would be the sign of a crisis in Polish democracy. There is the risk that an "unpleasant" debate in Parliament, which, in accordance with law could make a decision on entering the EU, would appear as politic consequence of poor attendance.
