Roman Giertych was the guest of the Polityka  Salon on 29 January 2003.

Janina Paradowska - the journalist conducting the meeting wrote about him:

"Pragmatic but also ideological, rational but at the same time a strong opponent of the EU. However he is not a typical radical representative of conservatism - he supports the beliefs of the political center. (...)" (Polityka nr 7, 15 lutego 2003)

The most often discussed subjects with the League of Polish Families Party (LPR) member were:enlargement of the European Union, the political program of the League of Polish Families, and problems of the Polish right-wing.

Roman Giertych thinks that Poland should not join the EU because integration with the Union could negatively affect the economic situation of Poland. But in case Poland joins the EU, the League of Polish Families will gain the majority of the vote in the nearest elections. Giertych suggested restricting the role of state especially with respect to economics, moreover he backed tax reduction. He mentioned that a crisis in the Polish right-wing factions is visible and said that the League of Polish Families represents a central segment of the political spectrum.
