VERDICT OF THE 44 STUDENT SONG FESTIVAL

from debate of the 44 Student Song Festival Jury in Cracow

after listening on days 15 - 17 October 2008 r. 46 ensembles and soloists qualified to the final of the competition by Artistic Council of the Festival evaluate the level of the Competition organization as  very high and decided:

1.

Two equivalent 1st prizes in amount of 10 000 PLN goes to::
Dominika Barabas
and
ensamble "Panny z Turku"

Two equivalent 2nd prizes in the amount of 7 500 PLN goes to:
Gabriela Lencka with ensamble
and
Joanna and Tomasz Kaczmarek

3rd prize in the amount of 5 000 PLN goes to:
dueo Anna Karamon and Aleksandra Nowak

2.

Jury of The 44. Student Song Festival decided awarded a distinctions which is a participation in Gala Concert to:
Agnieszka Kowalczyk
Natalia Rycek and Krzysztof  Łochowicz
Zuzanna Skolias
Anna Stela

3.

Jury noticed a very high level of instrumentals accopanying the performers.

4.

Traditional Wojciech Bellon Prize in the amount of 3 000 PLN, founded by phd Stanisław Bisztyga - goes to:
Dominika Barabas

5.

Acordin to recomendation of the Artistic Council of The Student Song Festival, Institute of Art prized - founded by Aleksander Gudzowaty - artistic schoolarship of the Marek Grechuta name in the amount of 30 000 PLN in the year 2008 to:
Gabriela Lencka
The Schoolarship is given to the laureates of the Student Song Festival.

6.

The Prize of the Jacek Kaczmarski Name in the form of statue and the amount of 30 000 PLN dacording to chapter decision received:
Jan Krzysztof Kelus
The prize was founded by Mr Andrzej Urbański - The chairman of Polish Television Inc.

7.

Jury informed that The Prize of "Dziennik Polski" received:
Anna Stela

8.

Jury evaluate the level of the Competition organization as  very good.
