10th International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music Cracow, 31st August - 3rd September 2006
Proceeding from the Jury meeting from 31st August to 3rd September 2006
The Jury including:
Geoffrey Douglas Madge - Chairman of the Jury Marta Ptaszyńska Sylvain Cambreling Krzesimir Dębski Gudni Franzson Jan Pilch
had listened to all performances by soloists, duos and trios, quartets, quintets, sextet between 31st August and 3rd September 2006 and evaluated the level of the competition as exceptionally high.
The Jury decided to grant: Grand Prix of the 10th International Competition of Contemporary Chamber Music in the amount of 35.000 PLN and the statuette to:
Capriccioso Ensemble from France
The Jury in common with the organiser of the Competition - Institute of Art have decided that Award for the best performance of a work written by a Polish composer will be named Marek Stachowski Award since 2006.
The Jury grants the Marek Stachowski Award for the best performance of a work written by a Polish composer, in the amount of 10.000 PLN and the statuette to: Lutosławski Piano Duo from Poland Emilia Sitarz (piano) Bartłomiej W±sik (piano) for the performance of Wojciech Ziemowit Zych Rozedrgranie
The Jury grants the Special Award for the best performance of a work written by a Dutch composer in the amount of 2.000 PLN and the statuette to: Black Out from Russia Ivan Bushuev (recorder) Natalia Cherkasova (piano)
for the performance of Theo Loevendie Music for flute and piano
The Jury has decided to grant Bravissimo Award of the Polish Institute in Stockholm in the form Grand Concert in Stockholm for the best promising Polish artist for: Stanisław Bromboszcz (fortepian) from Poland
for the performance of : Andrzej Panufnik Reflections
The first prize in the soloist category, in the amount of 7.000 PLN and the statuette go to: Eun hye Kim (marimba) from Republic of Korea
The second prize in the soloist category in the amount of 3.000 PLN and the statuette go to: Mikołaj Konopelski (cello) from Poland
The third prize in the soloist category ex equo, in the amount of 2.000 PLN and the statuette go to: Agnieszka Koprowska- Born (marimba) from Poland
& Dawid Jarzyński (clarinet) from Poland
The Jury had decided to award special mention for: Andrzej Włodarz (accordion) from Poland Joanna Wicherek (piano) from Poland Krzysztof Lasoń (violin) from Poland
The Jury had decided to award special mention in form masterclass for: Joanna Wicherek
The first prize in the duo category in the amount of 9.000 PLN and the statuette go to: Lutosławski Piano Duo from Poland Emita Sitarz (piano), Bartłomiej W±sik (piano)
The second prize in the duo category in the amount of 3.500 PLN and the statuette go to: Christopher Orton (recorder) from Great Britain Magdalena Nasidlak (piano) from Poland
The third prize in the duo category in the amount of 2.500 PLN and the statuette go to: Sorim Duo from Poland Piotr Sołkowicz (percussion) and Małgorzata Szymecka (percussion)
The first prize in the trio, quartet, quintet and sextet category in the amount of 13.000 PLN and the statuette go to: Capriccioso Ensemble from France Julien Herve (clarinet), Julien Desplanque (horn), Sebastien Richaud (violin), Cynthia Perrin (viola), Clementine Meyer (cello), Jean Sugitani (piano)
The second prize in the trio, quartet, quintet and sextet category the prize is not awarded
The third prize in the trio, quartet, quintet and sextet category the prize is not awarded
Jury evaluate the level of the Competition organization as very high.
